Art Never Goes Out Of Fashion
Inspired By Art, Local Designer Defines Fashion from A Different Perspective

Atlanta, Ga. (July 23, 2008) – Art and fashion has always gone hand in hand. In fact, many famous fashion designers have been inspired by the works of Andy Warhol, Picasso and Matisse. Now Atlanta is home to another designer whose work is inspired by fine art.

Rebecca Robinson, tee shirt and handbag designer has created the Gwenny Collection. A series of hand painted clutch bags designed to be worn casually or formally. In 2001, psnob®, the name under which the Gwenny Collection is branded, began from a simple idea while Rebecca lived in Delaware, and now eight years strong, has flourished into a fashion business.

The collection features three categories of fine art: Prima (one of a kind), Imprimatur (limited edition print) and Uitima (specifically designed and hand painted). Each Gwenny bag is carefully created and designed with acrylic on canvass. In order to maintain the bag’s true aesthetics, Rebecca emphasizes the beauty of its texture and three dimensional qualities, that only a painting can exhibit.

The concept behind psnob® (pronounced, snob) is evolution; the evolution of realizing one’s self. Being a psnob® represents a way of life, expression, and self explanation, and that never goes out of style. In other words, it’s a movement where women embrace courage, passion, determination and the power to reach any goal; and now, women can now wear their expression in the form of a psnob® tee shirt. The two styles, “psnob® copyright” and “proud to be a psnob®” are 100% cotton, and also features original hand painted artwork with acrylic on canvas.

Through Rebecca’s designs, whether a tee shirt or clutch bag, her goal is to embed the message of being strong, courageous, and bold; the art of individuality. Articles about psnob® has been written about in more than a dozen media outlets including; Atlanta Sunday Paper, the Indianapolis Recorder, Skirt Magazine, stylehive.com, handbagdesigner101.com, and thebaglady.com.
